A full refurbishment and extension to a victorian terraced house to create a playful and light filled interior with a post modern slant. A new staircase is punched through the structural wall and suspended between the existing house and new addition finished in a cherry veneer. A pattern of geometries are expressed throughout the home in surface treatments, structural members and fittings. An external window seat is plugged into the rear facade as a place to perch in the sunshine whilst being connected to conversations in the kitchen.
